For the first time, Footprints 2 Africa is preparing a 20ft container for Zimbabwe, scheduled to leave the UK in November 2026. Inside will be thousands of ostomy supplies, incontinence products and menstrual pads collected across the UK. Zimbabwe will receive the main shipment, with supplies also allocated for Zambia.
Moving this amount of stock comes with a significant cost. We need to raise £7,000 to cover shipping, handling, clearance and delivery, and our JustGiving campaign is now live.
The need on the other side is very real. Some of the ostomates we support have no access to supplies and are forced to find other ways to manage their waste. Incontinence products and menstrual pads are also out of reach for many. Without these basic supplies, people can become isolated from school, work, family and everyday life.
For us, this container means we can move far more stock in one shipment and get it out to the people waiting for it.
