Stroud Ladies Cricket Team chose Footprints 2 Africa as a community partner for the 2026 season, proudly wearing our logo on their playing shirts. Their support continued throughout the season with three raffles, fundraising from Tom & Yollies Meaty Treats, and Cookie Pie sales by Brockworth Barista. Together, an amazing £640 was raised, which will help towards getting supplies to the people waiting for them.
Sarah and Gavin, who oversee sponsorships for Stroud Ladies Cricket Team, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be supporting Footprints 2 Africa for the remainder of the season and are very proud to stand behind such a meaningful and compassionate charity. We hope this partnership helps raise awareness of the incredible work they are doing to support vulnerable ostomates and under resourced hospitals across Africa.”
Sam Yiollaris, Founder of Footprints 2 Africa, said: “We have loved being part of the Stroud Ladies season. They have welcomed Footprints 2 Africa into their cricket community and really got behind us. To see £640 raised through the season is amazing, and we are so grateful to everyone who contributed.”
A special thank you to Stroud Cricket Club for their amazing support and for bringing Footprints 2 Africa into the cricket community. Thank you to the Ladies team, Sarah and Gavin, Tom & Yollies Meaty Treats, Brockworth Barista, all the businesses and organisations that donated raffle prizes, and everyone who supported the fundraising.
And what a season for the Ladies — 14 league matches played, 11 wins, 2 losses and 1 abandoned fixture, finishing on 148 points. The season isn’t over yet, with a friendly against the men’s team and the 100 ball Cup Final still to come. We are super proud of the Ladies and everything they have achieved. Good luck for the Cup Final. Footprints 2 Africa will be cheering you on!
